BelizeCan you say paradise? You'd better Belize it! That's how I would describe Ramon's Village Resort in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye (pronounced key). The little individual huts that were our rooms perfected the paradise atmosphere. Not to mention the Purple Parrot drinks they served at the establishment's bar next to the pool, overlooking the ocean. Ah... if you want to relax in a tropical paradise, San Pedro has it all. The sleepy little 3 by 8 block town of San Pedro has restaurants, bars, and tourist shops to give you a few modern conveniences. But believe me, it's still so low key that you definitely know you're on vacation. San Pedro's idea of a traffic jam is 2 golf carts and a bicycle on the main street. Recommended Dive Operation: Blue Hole DiversChris runs the dive shop and has great dive guides to show you around. Say hello to Russell, he took very good care of us. Inquire about the overnight trip to the Blue Hole where you'll camp out on Half Moon Caye. You'll get the see the islands famous pink footed boobies in this bird sanctuary. Then you'll dive the world famous Blue Hole first thing in the morning after a hearty breakfast.
